Have you ever wondered as a professional artist or a beginner what direction to take when it comes to your art, or what the market is looking for in the 21st century and which art is the "best-selling" art? Well, here is the only true answer to all of those questions.

- Drums please -
It is and always will be - YOUR AUTHENTIC ART -
You must have thought now, "Yeah, right, thank you very much smart lady, as if I hadn't tried to sell my art a thousand times, but It never worked for me."
But let's take a look from another perspective, and list reasons why I truly believe what I sad before.
- Why should I stay true to my art? -
Well first of all when an artist is working on something because he/she really believes in it, then the observer also notices such an energy and you are on the right way to being trusted by your audience and future customers (buyers). This is really important, trust between artist and audience is essential and the most important thing.
For example, If you are a singer and your audience finds the truth in your voice and interpretation of some particular song, they will believe you and begin to identify with your art, in this case a song. So what will happen is that your audience will start to listen to your songs when they are sad or happy depends of the theme, and your art will help them fell things on the higher level and most important of all they won't fell alone in their special moments, they will have you by their side, and they are far more likely to search for your art in the future and engage with your work so they will become your ,,forever'' audience. But If you are just singing something in order to make an easy money, and your audience is not convinced in what you are doing, well... then you can hope that you are lucky enough to have one time hit, make some money and never come back because next time trust me you won't be lucky, and with that you'll never engage people to your art, never.
So this is really powerful If you ask me.
But wait I have more...
With your authentic art you are creating a brand for your name and your art. Let's say you are film director. Again, If you are true to yourself you will create a move that people will watch over and over again because they will feel the energy of your hard work and next time they see your name as an artist who worked on the move they will watch it just because you were the one to create it.
Another reason why you should stay true to your art is because, no one guarantee you that you will sell what you think is a popular art. That's right, I have tried this and It didn't work for me or any artist that I know, and trust me I know quite a lot of them. Not only that you will not sell anything but people will start avoiding your art and your name as an artist because they will see that you are not believing in what you are doing, rather they will see you as a someone who desperately want to make money, and lets face it, no one really like desperate work of art, which you are creating, by the way. Furthermore, this way, not only you don't making any money but you are literally burying your name as an artist and with that the potential of the brand you could create with it, and that is the worst part because you can't fix your image that easy.
So, everything that I sad before should just be implemented on your kind of art, weather you are painter, sculptor, designer, etc...
Now, what you can do, is make sure you are giving yourself enough time to grow and you need to be the greatest fan of your art in order for other people to recognize awesomeness of your art.
